Understanding My Approach
There are many therapists and coaches.
What makes your approach different?
I don’t see myself as someone who fixes people.
I am supporting a space where people can become curious about their experience and reconnect with themselves.
My work brings together therapeutic inquiry, somatic awareness, breath, movement, yoga and over fifteen years of experience working directly with the body through massage and bodywork.
Many approaches focus mainly on thoughts or behaviors. I am interested in the relationship between the mind, the body and the nervous system. Often what people call a problem is actually a survival strategy that once made sense.
Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” I am more interested in asking, “What happened?” and “What is your experience trying to show us?”
What happens during a first session with you?
The first session usually begins with a conversation.
I want to understand why the person came, what they hope for, and what is happening in their life right now.
As we talk, I pay attention not only to the story but also to the body. I may invite the person to notice their breathing, tension, emotions or sensations.
Very often we discover that beneath anxiety, pain, relationship struggles or unwanted behaviors there is something deeper asking for attention.
The session is not about analyzing everything. It is about slowing down enough to notice what is already present.
Sometimes people leave with a practical exercise. Sometimes they leave with a new insight. Sometimes they simply leave feeling more connected to themselves than they have in years.
How do you help people discover the real cause of a problem instead of just treating the symptoms?
I don’t assume I know the cause.
Instead, we become curious together.
Many symptoms are like the warning light on a car dashboard. The symptom itself is not usually the problem; it is a messenger.
By exploring thoughts, emotions, body sensations, beliefs and nervous system responses, patterns begin to reveal themselves.
Very often people discover that what appears to be today’s problem is connected to an old adaptation. Something learned in childhood a difficult experience or a belief that once helped them feel safe.
When the deeper pattern becomes conscious, change often happens naturally because the person is no longer fighting the symptom. They begin understanding it.
Can you share an example of a client transformation that shows how your method works?
One client came because of recurring physical pain and tension.
They had spent years searching for a purely physical solution.
As we worked together, they began noticing that the pain became stronger during periods of pressure, self-criticism and emotional stress.
Through body awareness, inquiry, breathing practices and small changes in daily life, they started relating differently to themselves.
The physical symptoms gradually improved, but what was even more important was that they stopped seeing themselves as broken.
They developed a sense of trust in their body and learned how to recognize stress before it became overwhelming.
What changed was their relationship with themselves.

Who benefits most from working with you and who perhaps doesn’t?
The people who benefit most are usually those who are willing to be curious.
They don’t need experience with therapy, yoga or personal development. They simply need some willingness to explore themselves honestly.
Many of the people I work with struggle with stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, chronic tension, physical symptoms or a feeling that something is missing despite appearing successful on the outside.
My approach may not be the best fit for someone who wants a quick fix or who is looking for somebody to tell them exactly what to do.
Healing does not come from me having the answers.
Healing often begins when people discover that they already carry much more wisdom, strength and resilience than they realized.
“My work is not about helping people become someone else. It is about helping them reconnect with who they already are beneath the layers of survival.”
